This essay is an original work by me. Inspired by the game, Maplestory, with its new character, Evan. The storyline is sort of exactly the same as Maplestory's. So credit for the idea will go to Maplestory,SEA. No copy infringement(?) intended.
A Pact.
It was a magical and unbelievable moment. It seems as though it has never exist in the world but, just at that moment, the myth is no longer a myth. It has turn into reality. Its large eyes, blue skin that seems so smooth and glossy, its wings flapping strongly to stay in the air and its tail that shake left and right, greeting me. The green sparkly eyes looked at me. It flew in front of me in an instant, our eyes met. “My lord.” it greeted with a voice that sound like a child from the nursery around my neighborhood. It spoke. The little thing spoke! My mind went into chaos, the thing in front of me was said to be a myth. My consciousness was trying to fight the truth when a glowing light appeared on my hand. This glowing light had a shape, a shape of a dragon that is similar to what the ‘thing’ has on its head.
My life would not be adventurous or fun because of this dream, the dream I had before it came true. It was a pact, a pact with a dragon. Fate lead me to find my partner for my job, my pet for comfort, my friend for life and my dragon forever, Mars. I was gloomy that day when Mars was found. My brother was ordering me around to do all the chores for him and he gets the credits from my mother. Not wanting to help him anymore since I’m being used, I went to find my father who was working in the farm. I helped out since he was busy with the sheep and goats. When we were about to have our lunch break, a piglet got loose and went into the mountains.
My father could not leave me alone to take care of the farm as I was inexperienced; I went instead since I’m a lot younger than him. The paths in the mountains were steep and muddy. It was a good thing that my father did not come because he is sure to have a backache the next day. Rock chips everywhere as I walked up the path and being cautious of the deep pit holes around me. I searched for the piglet desperately that my legs were starting to ache. Finally, the piglet was found hiding behind a bush, afraid of the wild animals hunting it for their next meal. There was a huge pit hole in front of the bush. I had no idea how the piglet cross without dropping inside. I thought my arms were long enough to reach the piglet however, they were not. I fell into the pit hole and was brought to another place.
The place was holy and sacred, trees that looked like they were a thousand years old and a lake that was sparkling. There was a tree with an egg underneath caught my eye. It was what I saw in my dream. I went towards that tree and the egg start to crack. Slowly, the thing inside the egg was coming out. It stretch and Mars appeared. The second thing that it said was being my slave forever.
